Recently I had my very first experience with filler. I never thought I would be the ‘girl who gets Botox and filler,‘ well here I am, a ’20 something’ year old experimenting with my first cosmetic procedures. So, let me share with you my first experience with filler and my before and after pictures. I’m not going to lie, the results are pretty amazing! (video of experience will be uploaded soon)

I also had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Renowned Aesthetic Dermatologist, and #BussoLyft Developer, Dr. Mariano Busso, who performed the procedure.

WHAT IS THE BUSSOLYFT®?

After years of experimenting with different approaches and techniques, Dr. Busso developed the BUSSOLYFT ®. This is a unique technique to get an optimum lift of the face. One of Dr. Busso’s specialties is the removal of dark circles. Dark circles on most people is volume loss. The moment the hollowness is filled and the cheek is lifted, the concavity is gone and dark circles are either removed or improved.

There are two major issues that make your face change. 1. Genetics: we lose fat in our face which will change the contour of your face. 2. Gravity: the main reason people’s faces change is because of the gravitational pull on your face. everything is being pulled down.

Dr. Busso has combined this technique with his distinct approach to applying threads resulting in the BUSSOLYFT®. The BUSSOLYFT® offers maximum rejuvenation by lifting structures that were brought down by gravity. DOES THE TREATMENT NEED TO BE REPEATED?

“We recommend that the procedure is repeated after 8 months. After we do it, the patient will keep improving over time but the maximum improvement is seen at 8months. After the procedure is reinforced at eight months the patient can typically see the long-lasting effect for a few years.”

I went to Dr. Busso for under-eye filler. One of Dr. Busso’s specialties! After years of spending $$$ on eye creams and products that never worked, I started my research asking dermatologists and plastic surgeons what could be done for my tired-looking under eyes, I realized my most effective option would be to get undereye filler (tear-trough filler) to level things out and lighten the dark shadows. The mere thought of a needle in that area freaked me out. Would it be painful? Could I have complications?

Finding a reputable doctor, and getting tired of caking on the under-eye concealer, and brightening the area in Facetune every time I uploaded a photo eventually won me over. Although the final results were subtle, they made a huge difference that convinced me to go back again when the effects wear off. Results last a year to 2 years.
