What Is The BussoLyft®?

Through decades of experience with PDO threads, Dr. Busso has created the BussoLyft®, a non-surgical technique that uses threads to lift and reposition superficial fat pads without surgery. Gravity can cause facial structures to sag and create signs of aging, but the BussoLyft® ensures optimal lifting with threads for a safe and effective alternative to surgical facelifts. By inserting dissolvable PDO threads under the skin, not only does the fat reposition, but collagen production is also stimulated, resulting in firmer and smoother skin over time. The BussoLyft® is primarily used to treat the cheeks, jowls, and neck, however it can also be utilized to treat the eyebrows, nose, and abdomen. For the nose, Dr. Busso is able to lift the nasal tip, straighten nasal humps, and balance the appearance of the nasal bridge using the BussoLyft® technique. The Procedure

Threads are a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that involves inserting dissolvable threads made of polydioxanone (PDO) under the skin to lift and tighten sagging skin. During the procedure, a local anesthetic is applied to the targeted area, and then the threads are inserted through a cannula. Once the threads are in place, they work by stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen, which improves skin elasticity and firmness. The threads will eventually dissolve, leaving behind newly formed collagen that helps maintain the lifting effect.  The entire procedure typically takes around 30 minutes, and patients can return to their normal activities immediately afterwards. Some mild swelling, bruising, and soreness may occur, but these side effects are typically mild and short-lived.
